Foxcroft IEA Competes at Clairvaux

Foxcroft's IEA team was back in action last Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Clairvaux Riding Academy in Leesburg, VA. Despite being down one point rider, the Foxcroft riders gave it their all and earned impression individual accolades.

The rain on Saturday morning made the show ring soggy, but the Foxcroft riders gave their horses confidence in the mucky footing by riding with a plan. Anneliese C. '26 rose to the top of a competitive Varsity Intermediate Fences class, taking home the blue ribbon and making her coaches proud. Maddie K. '26 had a personal best in her section of Intermediate Fences with a consistent rhythm and track and earned third place.

Rounding out a great day of horse showing was Sammie M. '27, who was calm, cool, and collected in the JV Beginner W/T/C class, keeping up the momentum with her top-three streak and taking home the second-place ribbon.

The team will be back in the irons this Saturday, October 14, at home.
